Re: LAUSD-Potential Strike (Week of March 20-24, 2023)
Dear WLC Community,
As you may have heard on the news or social media, LAUSD’s labor unions SEIU and UTLA are preparing for a potential strike next week, on the following dates: Tuesday, March 21st, Wednesday, March 22nd, Thursday, March 23rd and possibly Friday, March 24th. You can read more about the strike from the USA Today.
Something to consider: Negotiations may continue, and it’s possible these dates could shift or that strike actions could be avoided entirely.
While we understand the importance of the LAUSD Labor negotiations, Watts Learning Center Charter Elementary and Middle School will be open if LAUSD is on strike next week.

Estimada comunidad WLC,
Como habrá escuchado en las noticias o en las redes sociales, los sindicatos laborales SEIU y UTLA del LAUSD se están preparando para una posible huelga la próxima semana, en las siguientes fechas: martes 21 de marzo, miércoles 22 de marzo, jueves 23 de marzo y posiblemente el viernes 24 de marzo Puede leer más sobre la huelga en USA Today .
Algo a tener en cuenta: las negociaciones pueden continuar, y es posible que estas fechas cambien o que las huelgas se puedan evitar por completo .
Si bien entendemos la importancia de las negociaciones laborales de LAUSD, Watts Learning Center Charter Elementary and Middle School estará abierta si LAUSD está en huelga la próxima semana.
